Trimble launches $ 200 million venture capital fund

Trimble announced the creation of Trimble Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on investing in companies active in agriculture, construction, geospatial and transportation.

The fund will be launched with $ 200 million allocated for investments and will focus on companies with the potential for technological innovation and disruption in the digital transformation of industries served by Trimble. In addition to an investment, Trimble Ventures will offer expertise and practical information, industry experience and access to customers, markets and distribution.

Trimble Ventures will deploy strategic capital to accelerate the growth of innovative companies and partners that complement Trimble’s technology products and platforms and support the work of its customers. The fund will invest in early stage and growing companies with technologies and solutions related to hardware and software applications; artificial intelligence; augmented, virtual and mixed reality; autonomy and robotics; chain of blocks; Internet of Things (IoT) and analytics; and sustainability.
