House badly damaged by fire on Norwood Trail, 4 cars destroyed

CLARKSVILLE, TN (NOW CLARKSVILLE) – A home off Memorial Drive was badly damaged by a fire early Sunday morning.

At around 2:47 a.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to a house fire on Norwood Trail, according to Deputy Chief Michael Rios.

A family of four escaped the blaze without injury, he said. The family dog ​​also got away with it safely, Rios said.

The house suffered severe roof damage and four cars in the house were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fireworks were not considered responsible, Rios told Clarksville Now. He said the fire may have started in the vehicles.

The American Red Cross responded and is helping the family.

Battalion 2 units from stations 3, 2, 4 and 1 responded and the crews remained there until 10:30.
