eBay partners with bidadoo | Construction equipment
eBay announced a strategic partnership and an investment in bidadoo.
eBay offers buyers a wide selection of equipment, trucks, parts and accessories for industries ranging from construction to transportation to agriculture, according to a press release. This partnership will combine eBay’s platform and global reach with the unique capabilities and experience of bidadoo.
In the United States, the used heavy equipment market is estimated to be between $ 50 billion and $ 60 billion. This highly fragmented industry – historically dependent on offline and in-person sales and auctions – has seen the adoption of online equipment markets accelerate during the Covid-19 pandemic. This trend further enhances eBay’s cross-category commerce ecosystem, which sees high-value market buyers buying in more than one category.
It is worth noting that 25% of equipment buyers on eBay also buy parts and accessories for their machines. Through this partnership, eBay and bidadoo will meet customer needs by leveraging technology, data and expertise to deliver cutting-edge end-to-end solutions and value.
Through bidadoo, eBay buyers have access to used construction equipment from leading manufacturers, governments, rental companies, contractors and financial institutions, all supported by eBay’s Business Equipment Protection Program (BEPP). Additionally, bidadoo gives eBay buyers an extra layer of confidence with the transaction – each bidadoo equipment listing includes a detailed status report, photos and video demonstration, and is sold with the 100% bidadoo guarantee, allowing a full refund if an ad was not accurately represented.
