Dalfen Industrial to Develop Largest Industrial Facility in Charleston
The acquired land provides a strategic last mile location for the development of I-26, which extends south to the Port of Charleston and north to Greenville-Spartanburg. This is Charleston’s largest infill site closest to the harbor (15 minute drive) and is just 2.5 miles from Charleston International Airport. Charleston is one of the 10 fastest growing MSAs in the United States, with a population growth of over 20%. Notable tenants in the region include Fedex, DHL, Amazon, Google, GE and Mercedes Benz.
“With the opening of the new Hugh Leatherman Terminal in North Charleston and the continued growth of other ports, this development will provide a new industrial Class A product, with rail access, to meet the rapidly growing demand in the Charleston market” , said Tyler McElroydirector of development and construction at Dalfen.
“Palmetto Logistics Center is a perfect addition to the growing Dalfen Carolinas portfolio,” said Sean Dalfen, President and Chief Investment Officer. “The strong demand and growing population in Charleston make this development a strategic addition that will generate a lot of interest among tenants.”
