Informa sells three Insight brands of heavy equipment

Information services group Informa sold its Asset Intelligence Business unit to pricing data specialist Randall-Reilly for an undisclosed amount.

The unit provides pricing data, information and insights to companies investing in heavy construction equipment, utility vehicles and other infrastructure assets. The division includes Equipment Watch, which offers data for construction equipment, forklifts and farm equipment; Price Digests, which provides market value data solutions for asset classes of commercial trucks, passenger vehicles, marine vehicles, powersports and recreational vehicles; and FleetSeek, a market intelligence search tool for the trucking industry, comprising a database of 500,000 carriers.

As part of the deal, the terms of which were not disclosed, Randall-Reilly will add these acquisitions to its own portfolio of data and analytics infrastructure for transportation, construction, agriculture and other industrial markets.
